Cessna C-152 Update 7
Cockpit is now fully textured and ready to be rendered. Once again, I tried to push myself to the limit, my PC as well, creating even the tiniest surface details. Hope you like it and stay tuned for moooooaar.... Rendered in Vray and 3ds max.

Cessna C-152 Update 6
A.K.A soft surface modeling update :)
Phew, so many months have passed since I started modeling this plane and here we are now - the end of modeling phase... Makes me super happy that this 57 mil. polygon behemoth is finally finished.

Crossing the Line, Raising The Bar
I'm happy to share the project I did in collaboration with the very talented artists at Automobilist. The collection of fine art prints and posters depicting Michael Schumacher's victory at the Japanese GP in 2000.
My responsibilities on this projects were:
- texturing, shading and lighting of the car
- modeling, texturing, shading of the helmet
- texturing, shading and lighting of the Suzuka circuit
- rendering all of the shots
Before each project we gather thousands of photographs that we study, so that we can recreate each artwork as historically accurate as possible.
The retopology of the car model was done from scanned data.
One of the final testrenders of the helmet rendered in Vray in 3DS Max. I used quite a lot of procedural texturing for the wear and little surface imperfections.
Helmet was textured in Mari and Bodypaint. We were not allowed to use Marlboro logo for the artwork, even though the car was sponsored by the brand back then.
I did the helmet re-topo in C4D based on scanned data we had for the project.

Cessna C-152 Update 4
Remember the days when there were switches and buttons for everything, no touch screen nonsense? That's what this plane is all about :)
I'm finally done with the instrument panel. Thought it would never end!
